Links

The Internet is a great source of information, however sometimes it is hard to sift through all the leads to get quality information.

We hope these links will interest you and provide a rich source of useful information.

Perry’s Perennial Page - The absolute best site for perennials in the Northeast.  Created by Dr Perry of the University of Vermont.

About Flowers.com - This site sponsored by The Society of American Florists answers all kinds of questions about flowers and flower giving.  It is sort of a “What you always wanted to know about flowers but were afraid to ask.” site.

Penn State’s Consumer Horticulture Site - This consumer friendly site from my alma mater provides a lot of useful information in a wide vareity of horticultural topics.  It can be a little difficult to navigate, but worth the effort.

Proven Winners - Proven Winners are the industry leader in new garden plant introductions.  They are pioneers in branding and marketing horticultural products.  This site is geared for the consumer and is quite flashy, full of ideas and very informative.  They may be a little full of themselves, but they put together a slick package.

Longwood Gardens - Longwood Gardens is the crown jewel in American botanical gardens.  It is located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, near Brandywine.  It is well worth the trip.  Visit it on line and plan to go.  It is fantastic at Christmas.  They are also famous for their pipe organ and their fountains.

Growers Supply Company - Have you ever been to a nursery, florist, or farm and seen something in use that would be perfect for a project at home?  This is where you can get it.  Tools, ground covers, heaters, stakes, water systems, its all here.  You don’t have to be a commercial operator either, they sell retail.  Even if you don’t need anything its fun just to look,  kind of a guy thing.
