Myer the Florist Inc. began in 1950 when Clifford Myer, having just graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Horticulture, began cultivating gladioli by the thousands for the wholesale flower market. Clifford and his wife Barbara ran the first store in the building that is now Susie’s Sweet Shop.

Today, 58 years later, Myer the Florist Inc. is the region’s premiere full-service florist and garden center. We are dedicated to providing the best freshness, quality and variety possible in both flowers and plants. Dori, the Myers’ daughter and her husband Bob Stewart, also a Penn State Horticulture graduate, are second-generation owners and have overseen expansion that now includes nine greenhouses, the area’s largest retail arbor and about a half-acre of outdoor crop production.

Our 1,300 square feet of indoor showroom is filled with affordable and inspiring artificial creations, made on premises, with the highest quality artificials. Displays are constantly changing, and patrons may purchase their own stems to make their own designs.

We make daily deliveries to Milford and its nearby surrounding communities,  Matamoras, downtown Port Jervis N.Y., and a portion of Shohola Pa. We serve all the area nursing homes and care facilities, Bon Secours Hospital, employees of local schools, and area funeral homes. Our store is located at 590 Route 6 and 209, Milford, Pa., just outside Milford Borough, and there is plenty of parking. We are on the right side of the three-lane if you are heading toward Matamoras.

We are open Monday through Saturday 9 to 5, Sundays most of the time 9 to 12, longer in the spring and early summer. After Christmas, community involvement has us close early on some Saturdays and be closed on Sundays. During this period it would be prudent to call to see if we are open, (570) 296-6468.
